Nursing Skills - Experience - Training

Greetings from The Island and Andrews Senior Care!
Do you have a passion for working with seniors……but feel like something needs to change for you to be at your best?
Its been a long few years for us all in healthcare, but it’s been particularly tough outside of Atlantic Canada.
And as we emerge from the fog of the pandemic, many of us are starting to think about making a change….
The 12 hour shifts… the frustrating work environments….the commute….the lack of mental health supports.
Even for the strong ones, it takes its toll after a while.
But it doesn’t need to be that way. In order to take care of others, we all need to take care of ourselves first.
For those that want more from their careers and their life, and are thinking about a change – whether permanently or for a shorter period potentially – there is a special place where things are different…..where the pace of life is more balanced yet we can still do the work we love to do, which is to make a difference in the lives of seniors.
The Secret is Getting Out…..Why Are So Many Healthcare Professionals Moving to PEI?
Prince Edward Island is currently experiencing the highest population growth in the country. Often referred to as Canada’s garden Province, the Island is a special place that offers a work-life balance most people can only dream of.
Imagine living in one of the most beautiful and well preserved heritage cities in the country, Charlottetown, where the average house price is less than 40% of what it is in Ontario…..
Imagine being a short 10 minute drive from work, yet still having all of the following within a 20 minute drive of your home……
- an international airport
- miles of unspoiled and uncrowded beaches at your doorstep
- an endless choice of entertainment and social activities
- a rich and vibrant musical community
- a major hospital, multiple pharmacies, and other healthcare services
- dozens of amazing restaurants and pubs featuring cuisines from around the world
- a national theatre, museum and arts center
- multiple world class golf courses
- waterfront parks and harbour views
- Canada’s largest network of hiking and biking trails
- multiple schools
- and an award winning nationally recognized college and university.

Lower Cost of Living….You May Not Need a Mortgage Any Longer
In addition to the better work life balance, many Canadians are finding that they can become mortgage free by moving to PEI. According to the Canadian Real Estate Association, the average price of a home in Ontario is $998,629 versus $351,890 in PEI. How good would it feel to get rid of a lot of debt, and enjoy a better work life balance?
